The Vision
Focus Areas
Between October 2018 and April 2019, Vision Iron County hosted focus groups on 9 different focus areas. In the time since these focus groups were held, technology has been identified as a 10th focus area.
Starting in 2022, VIC is establishing Teams to build a collaborative data project to encourage intentional decision-making. Teams will build off of the knowledge gained from 2018-2019 focus groups, advance communication and partnerships to connect the dots between community priorities and projects, and create a database of current information through researching, gathering, and analyzing details specific to each Focus Area.

Arts, Entertainment, & Tourism
This includes music, theater, visual arts, literature, local government and staff, hospitality, restaurants, parks, and more.
Community Character
Iron County is open, folksy, historic, and welcoming. It represents community above self, uncluttered lifestyles, innovation, and safety.
Economic Development
This team works to unpack community strengths and challenges and find ways to connect resources in the economic realm of the county.
Education
There is a wealth of available resources in Iron County, but sometimes they go unknown. This team works to connect those in need with opportunities that already exist in the education sector.
Healthcare
This team works to carry the focus of promoting healthy lifestyles across multiple sectors.
Infrastructure
As our area grows in population, the demand on roads, water, sewer, internet, and other general infrastructure has to be included in the calculations. The VIC Infrastructure Team is an opportunity to collaborate and cooperate to reduce drag and increase efficiencies.
Parks, Recreation & Open Space
This team works with communities to develop parks, recreational infrastructure, and preserve open space for future generations.
Technology
Technology is the application of scientific knowledge to the practical aims of human life or, to the change and manipulation of the human environment. It can apply to everything from computers to farms.
Transportation
This team recognizes that transportation is integral to community resilience and therefore, works to ensure maximization of different modes of transportation.
L.A.B. - Lift All Boats
Dedicated to the most vulnerable in our community (food insecurity, homeless, abused, job insecurity, loneliness, etc.).
